Day Three (3) in Canada
Today was very eventful, eh! Did a lot of running around trying to get all the necessary things that would permit me to work and live in Canada.
The one item I was able to obtain was the Social Insurance Number (think Social Security Card). Once that was resolved, I focused on applying for the Ontario Health Insurance Program. Although I was turned away because I was lacking all the necessary documents, the person who helped me was very nice. It is true what they say, Canadians are nice, even those in government positions. Selah.
I talked with several of my family members this evening. Unfortunately, it is finally sinking in that I won't see them in several weeks or months. Please, don't get me wrong; I am not regretting the move in any way shape or form, but it makes one sad to know that their family is so far away. Especially since I visited them once ever two weeks.
OK for now...
